why don't we have flag a question feature on ML ?
sometimes i find the whole discussion in a question useful and want to come back to it again easily. in that case, dont u think being able to flag the question (along with its discussion) useful?

I agree. I don't find the search to be that useful in tracking down previously read topics. When I have already contributed to a thread, it is easier to click on the "View Your Profile" link and find the topic that way. Another workaround would be to "follow" one of the users who has contributed to the thread.

But I like your solution. It would be nice if we could follow a thread and have all the new responses show up somewhere convenient. I have to imagine that this is the plan for "following" a user, and it just hasn't been fully implemented yet. (The term "User Network" strongly evokes del.icio.us-style following like I described above.)

your hopes will probably not be fulfilled. This q&a product they came up with appears to be an internal site they programmed. Which means it's not open source and will require a lot of time to add features on.

if they would return to using a standard forum component of some sort that has the feature you're both asking for then you would have that sort of functionality and wouldn't have to wait for something to be implemented.

and, a standard forum wouldn't do double posts occasionally, either. and even if it did do a double post, I'd have an option to delete one of them.

Generally speaking, this q&a portion of the website is one of the dumber things I've ever seen this project do and generally speaking I've stopped contributing ratings to the site anymore.
