Have we started this thread yet? Is it time to start it yet?
2009. What have you already seen that's good, what are you thinking about the quality of movies in general? Anything coming out you're excited about seeing this year?
I for one am waiting for Jarmusch's "The Limits of Control" and Pixar's "Up". I'm going to go see Watchmen because it's now quite officially a civil duty movie, though I actually do think it's gonna be pretty good. I'm going to skip Halloween 2 and Transformers 2, and I'm pretty much done with Terminator series so Salvation will have to live without me (won't be a problem, it'll do fine in the box office). I don't know what's going on in the wide world of Indie cinema, but Hollywood is business as usual and I suppose some of what is being made could be interesting. I am mildly curious about Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.
Anyway, thoughts?

so far this year I enjoyed Moon and Adventureland
