Help, what movie was this?

I'm sure we all have those movies that we may have seen once upon a time and can't remember the title or the main actors and need help from other movie buffs to find out what it was... well this thread is the place.
The movie I need help with was made around the early '80s and I saw it on HBO. It was about a group of Australian children and their female teacher that went on some sort of nature field trip and then got kidnapped by a group of clear-clown-mask wearing crimminals. They managed to escape at some point and as part of their escape they had to hold their breath and swim through an underwater cave. The teacher and kids were all in their underwear. That's about it! That's all I remember, but I remember being very scared by the film -- I was about 7 or 8 at the time.
Can anyone help me? I'll be glad to help anyone with their foggy memories!

That's the movie! Thank you so much for ending years of brain-wracking. Wow, this worked better than I thought it would.
So, anyone else out there need help?
Oh, I thought of another one....
This was a low-budget sci-fi movie in the early '90s dealing mainly with man vs. robot issues. It took place after the apocalypse and everything was dark and dirty. The climax was a duel between a man and a robot in somebody's living room at night. And the robot had missles and machine guns and also may have had an american flag type paint job on its helmet or chest plate. I also believe green electricity shot out at some point, somewhere in the living room. Hah.
I hope to gosh I'm not just making this one up from like memories of four different movies (like Lawnmower Man, Mad Max, Robocop 3, Short Circuit)...

Wow. I definitely want to see that movie. Sounds pretty wild. Was it any good, or was it Plan 9 material?
Robot Jox, perhaps? I haven't seen it, but it supposedly involves post-apocalyptic American vs. Soviet robots equipped with machine guns and green lasers.
Okay, I vaguely remember some safari movie from the 60s where a white guy is stuck up a tree while lions prowl around below; then a piece of broken glass (from a crashed jeep?) focuses the sunlight like a magnifying glass and causes a huge brush fire near the tree. Any ideas?
Another one: Schlock horror movie from the 50s, or maybe the 40s. American guy is approached in a Middle Eastern hotel lobby by some tall creepy fez-wearing dude who says his master will pay the guy one million dollars if guy lets them remove his brain (fez dude explains that guy can survive as a vegetable for three months before dying--hey, sounds like a bargain to me!). Guy tells fez dude to bug off, gets chased around for 80 minutes by fez dude determined to get guy's brain. Can't remember what they wanted with a brain or why fez dude and his master seemed so fixated on getting this one particular guy's brain, but as I recall, guy manages to thwart Middle Eastern baddies and keep them from removing his brain. Some weird fusion of mummy and zombie flick, perhaps?
Wow, I really have wasted my life.

Wow, the fez film sounds interesting. Can't help with yours but I have another film, I know this was from Battlestar Galactica. I remember it vividly but could not find it anywhere. I watched all the original episodes and movie length features.
The story goes something like this:
Starbuck or his buddy gets stranded on a planet while fighting with the cylones. He is all alone and there are no other life forms on the planet. Except for the remains of a cylone. He crashed along with Starbuck but wasn't as lucky as him and does not function.
All alone Starbuck gets bored sort of like Robinson Crusoe or Tom Hanks in that island movie. He decides to fix the cylone. Cylone's initial instinct is to shoot or kill Starbuck. To audince's surprise they end up becoming friends the cylone realizing that he is alive because of Starbuck.
Time passes by and another cylone ship lands on the planet. Instead of joining his friends, the stranded cylone dies while trying to protect Starbuck.
Does anyone remember if this was a movie or just an episode. I know it is not an episode though because I watched all of them again recently. Help!

hawaii_prof: After some Googling, I think that was episode #10 ("The Return of Starbuck") from "Galactica 1980" : http://www.tv.com/episode/15046/summary.html
vargus: That fez one sounds creepy. I tried Google but got nowhere. Same for the Safari movie. Could it possibly be an early version of The Ghost and the Darkness" or something?
I *did* find the answer to my own question though... the movie was "Hardware" (1990). The story was about a future solider finding a robot head in the desert, bringing it back home to put on his girlfriend's weird sculptures, then the robot head awakens and repairs itself and starts kicking ass.
I do have another one for you all though, and this one was majorly bugging me since childhood: It was a horro movie in the late 70s or early 80s, and it was about a group of people coming to either a high school or some other building for a meeting. Turns out there's a deranged psychopath (or supernatural monster) loose in the place that wants revenge and kills the guests one by one until the main hero finally escapes by entering the building's sewer systems and popping out of a manhole in the middle of the street. I believe it was raining at that part and in his triumph he may have shouted something like "I beat you!" or something along those lines. I'm pretty sure it's not "Return to Horror High", because I watched that one time recently. But maybe I'm wrong. Anyone know?

Ok Vargus now Robot Jox was a film in 1990 that was set in a post WW3 time. The robots were used as a way for countrys to compete against each other without resorting to war since as we know now with certain political people is very expensive.
But I would also like to see that film that dispenser talked about sounds like its right up my ally.

I've also been looking for a movie for a while, it had something to do with a school for girls, it was late 70s or early 80s movie, the headmistress was really mean? and seemed to be pimping out the female students to rich international business men, maybe in exchange for graduation, I think it was a school for troubled girls, or bad girls. The one scene I remember was the really good looking girl had to fool around with this really hairy dude and later when she was telling her friends about it she says: "i've had more romantic nights with a turkey baster"
it is not a porno despite how it sounds. I really wish I could find this movie, i've searched quite a bit.

This film is called Hardware and it is an astounding film combining the visual shock-gore of Argento with the meditative symbolism of Tratovsky. Shot extremely well with a purpose in mind for each camera movement that coincides with a very effective electronic/industrial score. However, it is not available on region 1 DVD, but there's a German version available out there uncut if you have a region-free DVD player available.

I got it quite easy with using power-search-feature in IMDB. I put there these parametres: Country of origin: Australia, Genre: Thriller, Years: 1980-1987 and Excluded TV-series. I got only 31 titles and it was easy to check those up and pick the right one.
Now I am sold, power-search is very neet feature. I have gone wild with it and tryed to find movies which I have watched when I was kid and forgotten titles. Thanks for this thread, this helped my own researches.
