Discuss Cat Returns, The (Neko no ongaeshi) (2002) here.
Hi all! I just wanted to say if you're going to watch this movie you should consider watching Whisper of the Heart (1995) first. I think Whisper of the Heart is even better than Cat Returns. Cat Returns is kind of like its sequel.
By the way, I already suggested adding Whisper of the Heart to MovieLens

I'm stll waiting for "Whisper of the Heart" to be added to the system. It's one of the BEST anime movies I have ever seen (current imdb rating 8.1).

I liked The Cat Returns better than Whispers of the Heart but I would call it a film inspired by and not directly related to Whispers. Returns doesn't commit the crime of using John Denver's music.
