[archived]
|
This should be fun...
Which films do you think should never have been made?
Here's my list, in no particular order (apologies in advance if I offend anyone!):
(Based on my lowest rated films)
The Haunting (1999) The Next Best Thing (2000) Get Shorty (1995) Dumb & Dumber (1994) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (a.k.a. The Grinch) (2000) Bringing Out The Dead (1999) Bicentennial Man (1999) Sommersby (1993)

Some of my worst films were so bad I blocked them out of my memory! Here are some of them I remember: Blair Witch Project Gattaca The Muse Natural Born Killers The Claim Soft Fruit Even Cowgirls Get the Blues Mr. North The Road to Wellville Barton Finke Get Shorty Dumb & Dumber The Sheltering Sky
oh my f***ing god!! Gattaca!? are u serious? how in the blue hell can any sane person name Gattaca as one of the worst movies? did u even understand what the movie was about? im shocked since i think its one of the best movies ever and i think most ppl would agree that its a good movie. have u seen Soul Plane? or Glitter? maybe u need to see some real bad movies.

This is some movies that i regret that i ever wasted time watching
Andrey Rublyov(1969) Lone Star(1996) Irreversible(2002) Trouble Every Day(2001) Kingdom of heaven(2005) American Beauty(1999) Not One Less (Yi ge dou bu neng shao)(1999) Felicia's Journey(1999) The Sweet Hereafter(1997) Highlander II: The Quickening(1991) Last Life in the Universe(Ruang rak noi nid mahasan)(2003) Two Thousand Maniacs!(1964) The 400 Blows(1959) The Sleeping Tiger(1954) The Bridges of Madison County(1995) Magnolia(1999) The Mangler(1995) 21 Grams(2003) Oldboy (2003) Fargo(1996) Rollerball(2002) Lethal Weapon 4(1998)
really??? i like 21 Grams it was kinda deep, and oldboy is one of the best movies i ever saw, but i can see how someone might dislike it since it is very disturbing. while reading reviews of the film i came across one that describe it "as brilliant as it is disturbing," which is the best description of the film i can think of. it is without a shadow of a doubt, extermely disturbing, yet brilliant.

I guess I meant the worst films ever - as in, really bad films - as opposed to films that should never have been made. Good point.

I agree with What the Bleep Do We Know. The only thing that film proved is that the filmmakers don't know anything.
For me, it's mostly a matter of the films should have not been made "in that way." Take Catwoman, for instance... Sure, it started out not having much of a chance what with the people behind it, but it's hard to imagine a worse way of making it...
Meh.
