Best foreign movie in 2006 Oscar competition

Mother of mine is one pretty remarkable Finnish film which could be high in Oscar predictions. It just won several awards in Cairo International Film Festival and major award in International Press Academy's Satellite awards.
In second world war Soviet Union was trying to conquer Finland in two wars (Winter war and Continuation War). Finnish soldiers (less than 10% of Russian forces) defeated Russians time after time. Story about Continuation War is well shown in Unknown soldier and some historical facts are in here. Baltic states (Estonia, Lithuenia and Latvia) had already lost their independece to Soviet Union and Finnish people were worried that they are also going to lose their independece. That is why many families send their children to neutral Sweden.
This movie is story about those childrens (70 000 together) and especially 9 year old Eero who had quite difficult life. I hope You have opportunity to watch it in some film festivals at least.
