How do I search for a movie?
|
|
Right now all I can do is click the next button and go through countless pages of movies I've never even heard of.

In fact, every single link on the website takes me back to that page.

I assume you have just registered here. I think you must rate a certain number of films, 15 if I remember correctly, before you can access all features.
The pages you are receiving are probably filled with most often rated films in hopes of you having seen some of them.
If you haven't seen any of those you could just rate some films without seeing them to get to the 15 and then use the search features to find films you have seen. You can then later remove the possible ratings you gave without seeing the films after you get to 15 films you have actually seen.

I've been often thinking the registeration system should be changed. In the registeration phase one should be able to select movies to rate. Now the system seems to be totally random.

That was an annoyance for me as well when I first registered. Especially since I have not seen that many movies. I ended up doing the same thing as mcis81, although I feel it should not be necessary.

Glad I read this as I thought there was no way to select a movie you've actually seen!
Still it does seem like a stupid registration system, not letting people rate the movies they have already seen!
