Is it just me finding star rating obsolete and inaccurate?

To mark movies I've seen I either press 5 stars or 1 star (because BTW, there is no way to only say "I've seen it" without casting the vote). I sometimes use 3 stars to mark it as 'meh' (I've seen it, but it wasn't good or bad, just meh). This way I and Im sure many others too, are scamming the results.
While ago youtube removed star rating, and replaced it with Like/Dislike buttons for the very same reason - star rating didn't really show how good the video is because it is a lot clearer how many times video was liked/dislike - you know how many people trully recommend.
So, I was wondering, would you consider getting rid of meaningless star rating (OMG, I just checked and you also have .5!!! What is the difference in rating the movie 3.5 or 3?) and replacing it with Like/Dislike/I've seen it buttons?

Like/dislike works for Youtube, because there you have to have a quick way to rate clips. People aren't interested in thinking about the rating for each and every video, so like/dislike works perfectly there. There are just too many videos for that.
That approach doesn't work for movies. We watch considerably fewer movies than youtube clips. Youtube videos are disposable entertainment. Feature films are a lot more than that. That's why they need a broader skale for rating.
You can't just simply like/dislike a movie. I'm sure you too have movies that you consider way better than any other movies you've seen. Then you have movies that you just like, but aren't the greatest ever. Now how lame is it to lump all those movies with a rating of "Like" when clearly there are some movies that are far greater than the others.
Quite frankly, i don't understand what you are doing at this site when you don't bother rating the movies properly. This site is all about rating movies. Based on those ratings you get recommendations. If you only rate movies with 1 or 5 stars, you don't get proper recommendations.
To answer the question in the title: Yes, it's just you.
